‘Cleopatra’ Poem

The ethereal subsided voice I heard, it moved me onward

She towed me along.

This long hair beauty named Cleopatra, she sang to my heart and it was honeyed.

Holding my hand at a quickening speed,

We contended together among the trees and the twisted turnings encircled us

As we were together in this muddled stratosphere

My frame melted into the ether.

I could taste her lips upon mine and appeared like ecstasy

A silhouette of harmony and splendour.

A twinkling of divine.

Marvel and applause.

I saw her eyes sparkle in the moonlight,

And her figure pirouetted around myself.

I could feel the intensity, the serenity and the equanimity.

Calm.
